Leah is a ballet-trained aerial straps artist with both national and international performing experience. She has been training, teaching and performing straps for the past ten years and dancing for the past eighteen years. She first and foremost considers herself an artist and secondly, a lifelong student of movement. Her fixation is technical precision and her favorite experiences are ones that allow her to learn more about straps from a technique and/or exercise science standpoint. She also relishes opportunities that require high degrees of creativity and creative problem solving.
Additionally, Leah has taught movement of various kinds since 2008. Over the years, she has been an American College of Sports Medicine-certified Personal Trainer, TRX specialist and group exercise instructor at the University of Washington as well as a Hip Hop dance instructor at Exit Space School of Dance. Leah has choreographed for and performed in a multitude of private aerial and dance projects.
